Could you please tell Tom that he has gone too far with his money+success thing and sounds very entitled?..
by (100 points)
Can you please bring on a professional next time not just your cousin… like rod martin or Phillip Johnson laird.

An episode about how "the poors" suck and a masterclass on how to be the boringest man in the world.
by (100 points)
Aw, that's cute you don't understand comedy or jokes. Maybe one day you'll grow up

Imagine getting the chance to talk to someone this funny, successful and articulate.
Tom must feel very lucky.

god damn lmao

Tom is the blandest dullest human alive. Tom makes Joe Rogan seem like Richard Pryor.

The love between these guys at the end of the episode is meltingly sweet. I wish all men knew they could share these feelings.

Oh I know, I just don't see how or why
by (100 points)
Humor is intensely personal. I've heard that same repeated line from the OP over the years for any comedian that someone doesn't like. "I don't find them funny, therefore they aren't a comedian." Rubbish.

I also think you can learn to find certain comedians funny by repeated exposure. This happened to me with Maria Bamford. I totally didn't get her in the beginning. Then she grew to be one of my favorite comedians.
by (100 points)
No I think by profession Tom is a comedian, that's like, his job. I just don't think he's funny. Like, at all.
by (100 points)
Seriously I've read all his content and kept thinking 'how did he get another special'
by (100 points)
It's not a job nor is it a profession.

I love when Dr. Huberman discusses the approach/avoidance/neutrality triad and it's put such more apropos as yum/yuck/meh especially in modernity. As a fledgling neuroscience student I just really appreciate these conversations and can't wait for the summer semester to get started. Let's goooooooo

Is it just me, or has the millionaires interviewing millionaires podcast concept run its course in the last five years?
by (100 points)
Is Huberman a Millionaire?
by (100 points)
Without a doubt. I would be surprised if his sponsorships and income from Stanford haven't put him over $500k/year.
by (100 points)
What does his financial situation got to do with what they’re talking about?

Who cares how much money people make?

Yes! Thank you for this one Dr. Huberman. I've been thinking a lot about how a comedic mindset may be ideal for students, since the open mindedness and metacognitive awareness of what expectations are and how to subvert them is ideal for neuroplasticity/ making the most out of any feedback you receive.

Dr. Huberman, could you explore the link between TMJ, cervical spine dysfunction, and stored trauma? I’m especially curious how specific vertebrae might impact things we don’t usually associate with the spine—like swallowing, breathing, or focus. Your work means a lot—thank you.
