How does the creative process in comedy work?

What's the process of devising a comic piece? How does a comedian come up with their content?

About comedy and profanity: I think too often, mediocre comedians use profanity as a “crutch” and that gifted comedic talent have enough skill to be funny as hell without excessive profanity, especially those that can be funny while exploring the “darkness”.

Thanks for the interview. The guest was very nice and knowledgeable but I feel Huberman made it more like a conversation about likes dislikes and opinions between friends on this one missing the chance to really provide information and skill sets to the reader.

Just listening to (and enjoying!) yet another episode; heard the ad for David’s protein bars.. which I haven’t noticed in a few episodes, anyways,,, idk if you noticed or not but they’ve changed their ingredients in an unfortunate way. I wish I did this for a bunch of things in my childhood. We did way too many. He has a lot going on and he doesn't like it. Good for him. The teacher's "you have no option" sounded, on the other hand, pretty disgusting, to be honest. On many fronts.
