Up awake because I have my 12 week ultrasound tomorrow. The excitement and anxiety is keeping me from sleeping. Wish me and my baby luck in the morning! ** update: thank you all for the wishes! Baby was happy, healthy and wiggling around. A very special moment

Good luck!

Good luck!!!

Don’t do it it can harm the baby
ago by (100 points)
Don’t worry. It solves nothing anyway.
Deep breaths for you and baby. Everything will be fine. Xxx

My Dad died last week and I'm trying to stay sober. Here I am family. We are all the same. ❤
ago by (100 points)
I’m sorry for your loss
ago by (100 points)
I lost my Mom last year and nothing has been harder. I have to tell myself that booze never made anything better and that is so true. I’d be sadder and cry even more. I’ll bet we are not that different, it wouldn’t make you feel better either. Stay strong.

my Birthday is May 8th and I was born on Mother's Day. I AM SO SORRY. ❤
ago by (100 points)
sending you condolences and strength! i am sure your dad would be proud of you

Stay strong while holding your memories close. ❤

Listening to a description of how cold it was for them at that time while simultaneously being covered in fluffy and hot blankets in a house with cement walls on a freezing night, really makes me glad to be born at a better time lol
ago by (100 points)
Haha, that's right! The feeling of being covered with a thick blanket in a cement house and still shivering in the cold is truly 'classic'. But thanks to that, I appreciate the conveniences of today more, right? Do you have any memories of those cold nights? I shiver just imagining it!
ago by (100 points)
Same
ago by (100 points)
It's pretty inaccurate. Yes, life was hard in many ways -- brutally, sometimes lethally so if you took an otherwise minor injury by today's standards due to infection and less effective herbal medicines.

But they weren't freezing in their huts outside of locations where the temperature was extreme, and the content is misleading in many other ways.

I don't mind some dramatization to keep things interesting, but because these are presented as a realistic analysis of their topics, considering them entertainment that does a decent but not exacting job of being historically accurate is the safer bet.
ago by (100 points)
let us enjoy.
ago by (100 points)
I'm certainly not an expert in medieval times. but if there are inaccuracies, they should be addressed. The entire point of learning history is accuracy, or at least as accurate as possible. Why would you not care about that?
ago by (100 points)
What's crazy is humans in the future will be saying the same about our way of life now. Wish I could be there to see the advancements
ago by (100 points)
not necessarily. There's no ironclad rule that things will continue to improve indefinitely.

I used to read Greek myths as a kid. Hearing them again, slowly and softly, feels like coming home to something ancient and safe.

Just trying to calm my nerves before the big exam tomorrow… After that, I’ll officially have my master’s degree! Almost there!
ago by (100 points)
I hope you passed your exam like I just passed gas. I look down at the toilet bowl filled with poop and smile. Flush it down and watch the poop dance while it makes its way down the toilet and to the waste treatment plants. Eventually it will come full circle. You will drink it ❤

Did the content work?
ago by (100 points)
I’ll pray for your sanity. Our family would do that to visit grandma in AL. It was about a long drive. Leave EARLY in the morning so they still are asleep half the drive.
ago by (100 points)
hope you were able to sleep on the drive
ago by (100 points)
No!! Sleep before and after, but not on the drive!!

Honestly, if this is 'boring' history, I want more of it! The soft storytelling and little details about medieval life were so calming — it felt like being wrapped in a wool blanket by a fire after a long day in the fields. Perfect for reading and learning something at the same time. Please keep these coming!
ago by (100 points)
great content and awesome narration brings calming my heart and head.

There’s something deeply comforting about hearing how medieval peasants survived harsh winters — it reminds me that even the simplest lives were full of quiet resilience. Perfect blend of calm narration and gentle history. Fell asleep with a smile.

Man we are so lucky to be living now and not back then. Puts everything in perspective.
ago by (100 points)
hopefully they will, if people don't regress. We can stop believe in science, ruin the planet, give power to the tyrants and live in poverty again. Nothing is granted forever

The homeless now have smart phones. Which is crazy now there a regular item.
ago by (100 points)
Right, but the fact that there are so many homeless people, especially in North America, is shocking, considering how rich the US is. Capitalism is on its last legs.
ago by (100 points)
you wouldn't have a choice.

– Buenos Aires – Fell asleep during the Titans and woke up during the Trojan War. Greek mythology truly is the universe’s most chaotic soap opera.

I’ve always loved Greek mythology, but hearing it told so calmly makes it feel like I’m hearing it for the first time… as a bedtime story meant for grown-ups.

Chronic illness of any type is hard on the sufferer and the loved ones. Know that it's not about you, she's fighting her own battles. ❤
