Molokai Island, Hawaii. I'm a native Hawaiian and I'm thinking about all my ancestors Hawaiians were pretty ingenious people but we did not have to deal with snow and the harsh reality is of constant extreme weather. Our houses were made of "pili" grass, which was very hearty, and when wound together tightly made incredibly sturdy and warm and also cool, housing. I'm grateful that my ancestry is one of a high functioning system of community and family. Elders teaching skills, wisdom, role modelling high thinking all important to our system of life. also our societal structure was very sophisticated and was one that provided everyone shelter, food and a job. I love the sound in the background of a fire burning, for your story. Makes me feel very cozy and safe. I hope I get some real sleep tonight. Full spectrum marijuana oil helps a ton LOL. Aloha pō, good night, glad we r not worrying about freezing in our homes - yet. ❤️
