What advantages do blue and green light blocking glasses offer at night? Or, alternatively What are the pros of putting on glasses that inhibit blue and green light before bedtime?

Could anyone explain if wearing blue and green light blocking glasses during the night offers any particular advantages?

I’m a 32 year old construction foreman, husband, father of 2, and a recovering addict. I started listening to your podcast in the beginning of this year and it has honestly been changing my life for the better. I’ve been using the science based tools and “protocols” you talk about and I have improved basically every single aspect of my daily life and you haven’t charged me a dime. Thank you for all that you do

Thank you. I’m so glad to know the information has been of use! And congratulations on your sobriety!
Best Wishes,

Hello? What an interesting but bizarre comment, is there something to this comment?

Thank you so much for all the incredible work you do. Your podcast has become one of my go-to resources — both personally and professionally (I work in the medical field). I really appreciate how clearly and compassionately you explain complex topics.

I’m wondering if you’ve ever considered doing an episode on hypermobility conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) or Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder (HSD). These conditions are more common than most people realize, and a lot of folks are getting diagnosed with very minimal guidance. I’m curious if you might know about any novel treatment methods. There’s hopefully more definitive genetic research coming out from the Norris Lab and great work being done at the Muscle and Joint Clinic in San Rafael, CA. It just seems there’s a lot of skepticism around the diagnosis and lot of gender bias playing into that.

Thanks again for all that you share, in a world of such uncertainty your podcast is such a beacon of hope!

I only looked at the screen at the very end and saw his glasses.

I immediately came to the comments to mention his glasses and / or see a comment about them!

Your comment did not disappoint!

He's serious about this sh*t!

You gotta love him! ❤️

It's not just the amount of Leucine that matters. What determines protein bioavailability is the limiting indispensable amino acid. No point having loads of Leucine if limited by another amino acid such as histidine. Once your body has used all of the histidine it can't utilize any of the other essential amino acids. It's the overall amino acid profile that matters. Not just high levels of leucine.

Andrew, I really appreciate you diving deeper into protein in this content! I get a lot of questions about protein sources and intake in my work, and it’s reassuring to hear your detailed breakdown confirming so much of what I’ve been sharing with clients. Thanks for providing such clear, actionable insights.

Love all your podcasts, the first one I ever listened to was on circadian rhythms and it made such a huge difference in my life! My brother is a physicist from Johns Hopkins and sent it to me, so grateful. I wear glasses just like that, so cool! Haha. Love your motivational podcasts as well, listen to them over and over in between my Bible studies. I used to think I didn't have time for anything with young triplets and homeschooling and being a part-time nurse, but optimizing my sleep-wake schedule, healthful eating, and meditation and prayer has given me MORE time! I'm so blessed to have found you

Currently my age is 15 and will be 16 this month. I have left sugary foods in November of 2023 and I eat only natural sugars, for example fruits or shakes without sugar, and have consumed the unhealthy sugar 10 or 11 times till now. I have taken a pledge that this number is not going to increase anymore. I do think whenever I have consumed the unhealthy sugar, my performance in football matches or productivity in my studies got decreased. My family, friends, and my siblings criticize me for not eating sugar and used to make fun of me and also do body shame on me despite my good health and better performance after I stopped consuming these unhealthy foods. Moreover, they themselves are suffering from health issues and career issues. Thanks for the content you make; they are very informative.

The last great podcast that's still missing. If it's of any interest to you I asked probably 2 years ago about this topic and he replied saying he was working on it. So, he knows that it's missing in the great pantheon of hubermanlab content. It's probably very difficult to put together.

Leucine is the main driver of cell aging, as it signals abundance through the mTORC1 pathway. Don't consume more than you need for muscle synthesis. If you are not working out, always choose collagen over whey.

I’d like to hear more about Dave Asprey combining 10g of collagen to whey protein for higher protein synthesis(if I remember his post correctly)… or debunk it.
