I had insomnia for 10 years after my dad passed. I think I read the whole internet between 2003 and 2013.

I am very much wanting to visit my mother one last time, for that loving, forgiving closure.... Even though I have been told that her mind is mostly gone and she no longer recognizes other family members. But those family members do not answer my messages, and I don't know where in Raleigh she is.

I lost my husband and soulmate of 38 years almost 9 years ago. I lost faith in my religion and I was very upset with god and cancer. He was born with pkd and had two transplants that extended his life but the meds required eventually killed him. I’m going a bit better but it’s still hard to move on. My life revolves around my children and grandchildren! I’m off antidepressants and still feel lonely. He was the extrovert in our relationship and creator of my social circle. What shall I do?

I think all violence, even against oneself, is about control. The desire to avoid the surprise of whatever grief is inevitably next?

She doesn't want to call love addiction. However, with the interweaving of the hormones involved in the process, it's an addiction.

A lot of commentators mention losing a loved one to an RX. This abbreviation seems to be particular to the US. Here in the UK, I'm unfamiliar with what RX stands for. Could I tactfully ask someone to explain? Thanking you with kindness, L.W. (the initials of my actual name)

Dr. Mary-Frances O'Connor discusses the science of grief, explaining it as a natural response to loss involving oscillation between protest and despair. She explores the neurobiology of attachment, the role of dopamine in yearning, and provides insights on navigating grief healthily.

The death of my dear brother who was the genuinely the nicest and kindest human who lived a life of humility grounding selflessly giving back to society did good always who had lived his life from being successful business from being a poor fatherless kid to owning companies giving love and opportunities to underprivileged lives being the best very spiritual grounding loyal to God his family society had a very very terrible death in a motor cycle accident he didn't deserve that death that broke me and it's been very terrible for me to digest it it's been months but I have existential crisis now why did God allow it why him even if it's not God to blame but by understanding and reasoning I just can't take it
