Tbh it was the safest move and a wise move by xbox.
Building and producing a handheld from scratch is a massive task and with even lower chance of success.

Not official, but with the Xbox OS it pretty much will be. Your whole Xbox library, native game pass, and the option to boot into Steam, GOG, etc. This can be a game changer if they nail it, but the price will be ridiculous unfortunately

I saw it in a jbhifi (best buy in the us) magazine a few months ago, it said preorder was a rog ally x and had an xbox logo on it

It’s funny how adding ROG completely invalidated this as an Xbox handheld in my mind.

Nothing wrong with it, it looks great. I just won’t get one because it feels third party. Strange.!

Ally didn't sell well so this is the response...not make something good. Idea is great ..in practice it's low power,no GPU fun... basically a phone
