I’m so glad I ran across your content! I’m about to start chemo and radiation treatment for the next 9 weeks and I’m going to be listening to your soothing, calm voice to get me through it. This is my 3rd type of cancer I have been battling for over 5 years and I’m tired, emotionally exhausted and stressed beyond belief. Thank you.

Just wanted to say your comment really touched me. I can’t imagine how tough the past few years have been, but your strength is incredible. Wishing you all the best with your treatment — I hope the next weeks bring you some peace and healing!

Wishing you the best! My husband's boss beat three types of cancer so I know it can be done. I believe in you! Hugs if you want them.

That sucks Lanai! I used to do wigs and had a lot of clients in similar situations. One day at a time. At least you know the drill. All you can do is your best. I'm heading in for a total shoulder replacement (Osteoarthritis ended my styling career ) in two weeks as well and I'm trying to take my own advice. I don't love general anesthesia. Trying to take my own advice. Big hugs.

I've thrown my pelvis out of place, and I've been happy to discover your content while I nod in and out until I can go to my chiropractor. I'm as new as it gets to your content, but its clear you've created something truly special here.

These stories feel like a warm blanket on a cold night. After a long, exhausting day, I put on my headphones and suddenly, I'm in another world — calm, safe, and ancient. Thank you for helping me sleep with a smile. Anyone else here from New York or nearby?

Just started reading and I was instantly transported. The gentle crackle of the fireplace, the soft storytelling, the slow unraveling of hidden moments from history — it’s like being wrapped in a warm blanket of calm. Perfect for nights when your mind won’t stop racing. Thank you for creating a space where I can finally rest without dist

I listen to you almost every night after I get off my evening shift. I get home past midnight or sometimes later. My mind is still active, but my body is tired. It is currently late in Los Angeles, California and I fall asleep so easily to these. I get a couple chuckles in from your narration and all of a sudden, I'm waking up to my morning alarm. Thank you

Love this subject matter! I've spent about 6 weeks in İstanbul and loved my visit to Topkapi Palace. Also went to Konya and read Rumi to Rumi at his grave - the Mevlana's grave is one of the holiest places in Turkey. Cheers and thanks for this excellent episode!!

Kansas City, Kansas. Been a tough couple weeks. Girlfriend and I broke up and couple days later I lost my job. Gods got me though. Anyone out there struggling just know you’re loved and God has a plan for you. You are loved, you are valued. If anyone needs someone to talk to, reach out to me. God bless! Again, Gods got you and will always lift you up!! Amen

Can you please make content about living in a cozy fairytale meadow, plz, after browsing through so many channels offering same kind of content, I can only sleep to your content, your voice, pace is very relaxing and soothing. It would really help me if you made a cozy content about that. ❤

I really enjoy these contents. Every one trails off topic around the middle part if we're lucky.. I was really interested in the Sultan stories and were back at the Romans and women warriors, now stoicism..

You’ve turned what many see as a footnote in history into a full, beating world of ambition, survival, and elegance. The writing is razor-sharp, the tone subtle, and the insights unforgettable.

Just a short way in and already so relaxing! The details about life in the Ottoman harem are fascinating I had no idea about their daily routines. Perfect for winding down after a long day. Thanks for another great content, Sleepless Historian!

Perfect mix of soothing narration and fascinating history — who knew the daily routine of an Ottoman concubine could be so oddly calming?
