I wonder if anyone located an underwater Sphinx near Giza, and if they did, what might that story entail?

Late night in UK. My father is having his first night in a dementia home and I’m struggling not to worry. He was distressed when I left him. I’m comforted reading these.

I've been reading these contents all night, fixing to fall back asleep for a while. I have schizoaffective disorder, OCD with such severe intrusive thoughts, and ADHD so it's so hard to quiet my mind enough to rest. Thank you so much for helping me.

It’s perfect

I don’t like it!

I, too, love the campfire background sound. As in radio dramas of the past, I wonder how they make the sound. Crinkling paper? Sounds kind of like a loop of a heavy cart being pushed on sandy ground. Regardless, I love it.

Super cozy to have the fire :)

This was the perfect kind of boring—like getting tucked in with a cozy time machine. I didn’t even realize I was drifting off until I woke up three centuries later in a haystack behind a medieval tavern. Keep these coming, please!

Billings, Montana. I've been up for the past few nights in horrible pain from a peptic ulcer. I've had problems with ulcers for the past few years, and I wouldn't wish one on my worst enemy!! Your voice is so calming and helps keep my brain distracted from how much pain I'm in. Thank you so much for everything you do. You've been a God send on really bad nights.

My twin died very, very recently and sleeping has been hard... We loved reading/listening to stories together ♥
These contents have been like a warm hug that wraps around my brain and encourages me to try and relax; thank you ♥
ago by (100 points)
My heartfelt condolences to you. Losing a loved one, especially a twin, is an indescribable pain that nothing can replace. It’s deeply touching to know that these contents have brought you some comfort and peace during such a difficult time. I hope you continue to feel the love and beautiful memories you shared, and that each night becomes a little gentler. ♥

We had favourite together for sure, ones I haven't been able to read or listen to yet - it's too soon. But we grew up listening to everything from tales of lore (ex: everything from various legends, mysteries, religions to Canadian Wendigo's etc) to full on historical lessons (WWI, cold war, WWII) and the like.

So sorry for your loss. I can only imagine how hard it is to lose a twin. Thoughts and prayers for you and yours ❤
ago by (100 points)
Sending hugs, love, empathy, and compassion for you. Even though I don’t know you, I sincerely pray and hope you will honor your twin by living and allowing him/her to live through you. Remember to tell your twin to show you signs they are there with you. I promise you it will give you comfort in time and you will always get little reminders that they are looking out for you

my heart breaks for your brother. That pain is like no other. I am deeply sorry.
ago by (100 points)
thank you, brother. I’ve learned to pour everything into the little time we do have so quality over quantity. But I still have my moments where my mind will go down that path and I have to halt it. Much love you too, brother

Alabama, USA ♡ it's my 33rd birthday today, and just as they are for a lot of people, birthdays are kind of sad for me. Just another reminder of the "village" I don't have, and the endless passage of time. So I'm awake, getting some good thinking time & alone time before I have to wake up & take care of the kids. These contents help me feel gratitude when I am feeling sad about my own life. Thanks for listening ♡

I especially appreciate the illustrations in your content, all in the style of woodblock prints full of real medieval style. I am a painter and I am really moved by your illustrations and appreciate them for that.

Okay. Who is coming up with the clever context for these stories? They are all so human and personal! I love them and I'm now reading them in the daytime as well as night.
My sleep strategy for the last year has been to put in an earplug and play a story; not too short, pleasantly interesting, calmly read, with no music or raised voices. It is the magic fairy dust for falling back to sleep when the weight of the world descends to plague my mind. Feeling a relationship with your players in the stories helps me to not have to think too hard and lets me fall asleep again easily after an entertaining interlude.
The only episode I've had to turn off so far dealt with life as a WW2 German soldier. Too scary and too close to home at this scary time. Thank you for hitting the general tone spot on!
