What are ways to showcase my skills to a master chef, by preparing fried rice?

I don't hate him but most of his recipes are pretty bad. He's fine when he just sticks to random stuff but nearly everything he does is way worse than whatever he is basing it off, even some of his Italian stuff is pretty bad despite being trained by an Italian chef.

He seems like a good guy but there's like a million less popular options that would be better to learn from when it comes to cooking.

​​Or maybe you have low standards. Jamie takes well known things and goes out his way to make it worse. Even other people that like him can't even defend his creations(Vincenzo). I already said he's ok with random stuff but as soon as he has to cook food of any other culture it usually goes to garbage. So you might as well read someone else


There's people that are satisfied eating burger king so you liking Jamie's stuff doesn't mean anything. Perhaps it was one of his few good recipes or maybe you just have very low standards

The blowtorch is neat but potentially very dangerous in a busy and frantic professional kitchen. You could easily set fire to anything in the kitchen if you are not careful with an open flame.
