This is interesting. I prefer my partner's sweat than deodorant. We have opposite immune systems. I've had lots of allergies, food intolerance, mast cell activation, histamine intolerance. My partner has a much better functioning immune system. His immune system is much more robust.

That would certainly make sense. That mates would seek out the traits that best lend themselves to survival.

So once again, we are just biological animals and we choose to procreate with someone that is more preferably going to improve our own genome through mating, which will rear healthier children, which give a better chance of longevity of our gene line basically. We're looking for people that aren't gonna screw up our genetic legacy makes a lot of sense. But the human race dates for all the wrong reasons because perfume and colognes overpower that.
