Hello from our New Hampshire farm- I would like to start by saying I like tuning in to William Li. I have his book, "Eat to Beat your Diet". I consider his books to be helpful tools in my health journey, however I am working with my PCP, my GI dietitian and my GI surgeon to get my health on track. I have 20+ lbs to lose and they want me to do it slowly as not to stress my liver. I had a septic gallbladder that severely inflamed my liver and pancreas. So, yes, I am eating to keep my pancreas happy. I am not diabetic, but I get your point. I am post menopausal and I understand it can be a challenge to lose weight. I strongly suggest that you talk to your PCP about this. Mine is wonderful and works with me. My dietitian is customizing my diet to have the correct % of fats/carb/ proteins/fiber. I do Hatha Yoga for stretching, breathing, meditation and to reset my vagus nerve, which was affected after I had 4 surgeries in 11 months. Now I need to eat healthy " allowed " foods and get out there and walk. I ride my exercise bike in front of the TV '-). Oh, I am not allowed to intermittent fast, as I have bile issues and have to eat three small meals a day plus two small snacks and hydrate. It is working for me slowly/mindfully. I wish you the best. Please consider getting some medical help and support. ~ Diane
