Is there anyone here that can put it in words how the biological functions of the body, such as blood circulation, affects the general health of our hair?

This was very interesting I also ask about the angiogenesis with cancer risk. Thank you!

This talk matters to me bc having SLE Lupus, hair thinning is an issue. It’s good to know that we have stem cells that can create a new follicle where the original one stopped working.

Dr discusses here, some foods to activate stem cells for possibly new hair growth:
1. Water, tea, & coffee (without dairy)
2. Tomatoes, lightly cooked with:
3. Extra virgin olive oil
3. Sulforaphanes (raw to lightly cooked): broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower etc.
4. Beta D Glucan foods: Mushrooms, oats, barley, etc.: these contain beta d glucan which may help hair growth.
5. Ursolic Acid Foods: boosts stem cells which may grow new hair & skin (unless it’s scarred): Apples especially the skin, for example.

Thank you so much @DrWilliamLi for sharing your expertise during our interview! It was an absolute joy getting to hear about the various science-backed ways that our diet can positively impact hair loss and regrowth!

The Eat Right books are amazing.  Thank you Dr Li for introducing me to a whole new concept.. I’d heard food is medicine, but not being a medieval witch I didn’t know which foods worked for what.  Thank you for listing all the ways food can help my body.

Is there a tension then between needing to restrict angiogenesis to lower cancer risk (say you have basal cell issues) and promoting angiogenesis for example for hair growth? How does one thread that needle?

I brew green tea for ice tea. Same benefits hot or cold I hope!??
by (100 points)
Yes, same. However, Doc says (& online info says) that the temperature of the brewing water matters to preserve the effectiveness of the polyphenols - online you can find that for every type of tea - but generally Green Tea should be brewed at 175 to 180 F; I bought a thermometer.

I feel like most other countries traditionally come from cultures that keep you healthy with herbs and certain foods.

Dr Li you need to read your transcripts to see how hard it is to follow you and what you are saying. Forty-five minutes and I walk away not knowing what to eat to fix hair loss. Mushrooms, tomatoes, orange peels. I think I got that right. You say so much and yet say so little. This was a topic I really wanted to know about and I feel like all you wanted to do was keep us guessing so we buy your book. But I worry that the book will be the same ramblings that your manuscripts show.. I think we have a lot to learn from your vast knowledge but you have to tell it in a better way. With way less distractions.

I agree, he is indeed brilliant and with a deep desire to spread his knowledge, so God bless him. I purchased his book, a lot of valuable information; but yes, it’s all over the place, although worth having if you follow him.

Yes. He gained a lot of subs by not being that way...what happened I wonder.
by (100 points)
I hate to tell you this, but you're not fixing hair loss by eating broccoli and tomatoes and drinking tea. He's rambling all over the place because this is silly.

Pls try MSN, copper, rosemary, vit A, vit B.
He talks too long and no summary
by (100 points)
I believe he appeals to the average person because he explains things in an easy to understand and entertaining, positive way. If you're looking for an itemized list in answer to your questions try a medical journal.

Some people just go out looking for an opportunity to criticize an expert so they can look important, too. That's why some turn off comments - too many armchair critics out there. @@dunnono00

The stated subject of this video is hijacked by the interviewer  a quarter of the way in. Interesting stuff, but does not specifically address the title.

Too long winded more and more all the time get to something resembling a point that doesn't take 45 minutes. How about 10-15 minutes. Anybody else agree?
