If someone could break down how oats help with heart health and cholesterol, that would be appreciated.

I love your videos. How can I know without a doubt that Oatmeal is healthy, I hear lots of bad info about them but I do love them. Dr Berry and others always claim oats are terrible for health. Please advise. Thank you and God bless!!

Most health & wellness doctors say to avoid oatmeal (even organic) because they all contain glyphosate.  Also I won’t make my protein quota at 60 years old if I don’t eat protein for breakfast.

I buy non-gmo organic oats.

They use glyphosate on gmo oats as it does not kill the crop only the weeds. But it also saturates the oats with poison. Therefore non gmo oats are healthier

Very good information. It’s odd that one of the commercials is about how oats raise blood glucose

I can't eat any oats or barley bc I'm allergic to gluten. I wonder if that has contributed to my high LDL

Hi Dr.,

Is there a reason you emphasize oatmeal over oat bran?

Oat bran contains about 5–7 grams of beta-glucan per 100 grams, while oatmeal contains only about 2–4 grams per 100 grams.

It seems that oat bran could help achieve your cholesterol-lowering goal faster due to its higher fiber content.

In terms of satiation, 1/3 cup of oat bran provides 150 calories and 5 grams of protein, whereas you'd need half a cup of oatmeal to get the same nutritional value. Any thoughts on that?

Even organic oat has glyphosate from neighbor soil now.
See bass fish has lot of mercury.
Barley has gluten. Hard on digestion.

I ate steel cut oats and my blood sugar was 208. Oats can be good but they must be in small portions. I ate like 1.5 cups of steel cut.

High LDL is bad but high HDL is not good unless it’s there to remove LDL. Low LDL cholesterol with low HDL is very good. A better test should be Apo B.
