Is there anyone who can enlighten us on the creative process of comedy? How do comedians come up with their material?

Listening to you guys talk about energy in an audience and crafting your skills as you do the work makes me think of what it felt like teaching high school! No one teaches you how to present to high school kids. It can be very intimidating. Some people are naturals. I was not. It took me two years before I really gained my confidence. And they will eat you alive if they know you are nervous or afraid. Anyways I thought it was interesting the parallels that I grabbed from this discussion. As always enjoy all of your discussions thank you.

I really enjoyed last week's episode and found the content very interesting. I hadn't realised how different the regulations on food in America were. I was too slow to add a comment though.

Do, a belated thank you. I've learned so much through your content and enjoy being able to listen to such clever, kind, and intellectual conversations. Thank you

Hey Dr Andrew. Would be honoured to have the following queries worked out…
1. Are headphones/earbuds alright for our ears in the long term? Lately people around have been claiming them to harm the ears…if so, then should we eliminate their use completely or what’s the limits of using them?
And are headphones better or earbuds if sth still gotta be used??

2. There’s a big notion regarding the benefits of listening to music/songs in general. So much so that some people take it for an essential part of their daily lives… is music really essential or can we go about living an entire life devoid of it and still making good…if it’s possible, will be a big time saver for me…
P.S: Don’t judge me for this time consciousness. An Indian student appearing for medical entrance test… Apart from study, can afford bare minimum stuff in routine…( meditation included)…

Atp it's necessary. You know how hysterical it would be to hear Tim talking slowly and trying to articulate himself in the Huberman style? Would be a bit

Great pod guys. In April my son and I saw Tommy Bunz and Kirk Fox in Idaho perform the "sharpie set list" referenced. Fantastic night! What really stuck with me, he took a couple mins and showed appreciation for folks coming to see him well beyond a simple, thanks for coming

Hello Dr. Huberman, I wanted to ask if there was a reason for the print length to be different of your upcoming book "Protocols" in different countries. I've already placed the pre-order and cannot wait for it to arrive haha.

Thank you for everything you do for science!

Would you consider an ep on Retinitis Pigmentosa? It runs in my family and no Dr has been able to advise on the carriers experience, I don’t display typical symptoms like the affected family members but there is some from of dystrophy going on.

I wish I did this for a bunch of things in my childhood. We did way too many. He has a lot going on and he doesn't like it. Good for him. The teacher's "you have no option" sounded, on the other hand, pretty disgusting, to be honest. On many fronts.

About comedy and profanity: I think too often, mediocre comedians use profanity as a “crutch” and that gifted comedic talent have enough skill to be funny as hell without excessive profanity, especially those that can be funny while exploring the “darkness”.

My speed is Zoltan Kaszas, Anjelah Johnson, Michael McIntyre, Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias, Jimmy O Yang, Jo Koy, Michael Yo, Alex Velluto, Jim Gaffigan, and Bryan Regan, to name a few.
