My 42 daughter passed away October 1st 2024.    Since her passing it's really affected me mentally.  I'm going through such horrible emotions I can't even be out in public. I was in a supermarket last night and I just felt this outer body experience, strong anxiety that I couldn't wait to leave.  I Just have this huge dark cloud that won't go away over my head.  Actually filling it up my brain.  I miss my daughter so much.
I want to feel better.
I've been getting in 10 to 12000 steps a day hiking all over and it's just not kicking in those  Endorphins.

God bless you, stay in there. Time will help you, it’s normal and necessary to experience deep pain right now. Stay strong, keep going for her

@@gsav1320Thank you so much for your encouraging words.   And thank you for letting me know my feelings are normal because it's scary.  I appreciate you.

Sorry for your loss. I remember after my father died 5 years ago I thought that I was losing my mind. It's still hard to articulate how out of whack I felt. I pray that you get some rest and proper nutrition because at the hardest of times, it can be a monumental task to do the simplest of things. May your daughter rest in peace.

@@Everythingismeaningless344Thank you! That's exactly how I feel!  I just dont want to be around anyone.  I had one of the nurses tell me I'm suffering from compassion fatigue.  I couldn't get my words right.   They teach you about child birth and you raise your children the best you can. But no one teaches you how to cope with your childs death or any death of a loved one.  I appreciate you reaching out to me.  God Bless you ❤

I'm new to your program, but very fascinated with neuroplasticity! You spoke about the importance of sleep. Have you ever done a lecture on sleep apnea--specifically in relationship to ADHD? I'm 62 years old and have never been on a stimulant for my ADHD. My inability to focus appears to be getting worse, but my brain is also changing as I age. I don't want to go on a medication,  but I'm finding it difficult to function on a day-to-day basis. I'd appreciate any help you can give to navigate this very difficult time. Thank you for devoting your life to helping people understand neuroscience. (Nona:)

I like this new format. It feels like a weekly episode of a lecture at university. Hyped for more!

Andy! What an outstanding offering. I sensed different aspects of your longer segments I LOVE integrate while listening. Also, I don’t often watch you speak while doing homesteading chores,etc- usually just listening. I glimpsed you while loading this Essential to comment- and I noticed that I felt like we were totally connected like a conversation vs a lecture affect. I look forward listening to this format over meals/walks/chores with my Hubby.❤

I can see how the shorter episodes would be convenient for some listeners.  I am defiantly a read the entire book vs cliff notes kind of person.  Mondays will still be my 'go to", however Wednesdays will be a perfect recap and way to see if I retained the material or need another go. .  Thank you for covering all the bases.  What a blessing    you are.

WOW!  Lots of great information!!  My brain functions best from 6 am - 2 pm.  I have known this for years and I have used it to my advantage.  Sleep is key to my greatness.

I am a medical student, I listened to this twice
I Really must say I didn't get so much out of it, all you talked about was things of low significance about learning

Thanks so much, I will keep follow this podcast until I really learn something new
